Hampton Village Apartments Affordable Housing Community [FL] Opens in Miami’s Historic Brownsville Neighborhood (South Florida citybizlist)

$21 million redevelopment project by Landmark Development and Carrfour Supportive Housing delivers 100 newly-renovated apartments for low-income residents.

A once distressed and abandoned 1950s apartment building in one of Miami’s most underserved communities is enjoying a second-life, having been transformed into a fully-redeveloped affordable housing complex. Hampton Village Apartments, located in Miami’s Brownsville neighborhood, will include 100 affordable units housing for approximately 250 residents – all made possible through federal dollars allocated at the local level.

The $21 million redevelopment of Hampton Village Apartments by real estate development company Landmark Development and nonprofit affordable housing developer Carrfour Supportive Housing was made possible by federal stimulus monies allocated at the local level through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
