Palm Beach County Allows Reduced-rent Apartments Near Boynton Beach
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel (7/27) reports that county commissioners decided on Thursday that "reduced-price apartments can be built west of Boynton Beach, despite concerns from neighbors about the residents they could attract." Palm Beach County commissioners in a 5-2 vote "stood behind the county's long-standing policy of encouraging developers to add to the inventory of homes priced for teachers, firefighters and young professionals who in the past had trouble affording local homes."
