The Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) has sponsored groundbreaking research since the 1970s. Research priorities have differed over the years, with varying mixes of housing studies, housing technology research, demonstrations, HUD program evaluations, and policy reports that remain relevant today. These historical documents are now available to the public; providing access to original research that continues to help inform modern-day policy decisions. The ten reports displayed below are the newest in our collection of scanned historical reports; the Housing Allowance Experiments of the 1970s continue to be of considerable value to the housing voucher program.
