Housing and community development efforts must address a complex network of individual, social, economic, and environmental factors in order to promote more diverse, inclusive communities and improve the sustainability of neighborhoods, communities, and regions. Determining HUD's role in developing and supplementing, current knowledge bases, technologies, and their applications of design and construction to HUD's communities, partnering with local, state and regional public and private organizations is key. How can HUD best serve as both a leader and partner in further analysis and understanding of disaster resilient housing; factory built housing; sustainable and energy efficient housing, and advanced housing technology for all of these efforts, and HUD's client communities?

We invite you to think critically about the following question and respond in one of the four targeted topic areas.

Over the next 5-10 years, what do we need to know to improve knowledge gaps that are affecting the execution of good housing and community development policy and practice in design, construction and technology?

The submission period is now closed.
