| Description |
This settlement, made in November 2001, is an agreement between the industry and the city to reduce processing time for building other permitting reviews. The Memorandum of Understanding, establishes a set of specific standards that the city and industry must meet. City commitments include designating a single point of responsibility; maintaining appropriate staff levels, appropriate training, and overtime or contract services to cover peak periods; making development laws, requirements, standards, procedures, and processes available in print and on-line; and consulting with the industry before making fee, policy, rule, or procedural changes. The industry also agreed to assist in this process by: learning and complying with the city’s development laws and processes; and submitting a complete or compliant plats or plans. The document also outlines the review process and establishes timeframes for action by the City government. |
