| Description |
This chapter of Blaine County, Idaho’s zoning code allows for the creation of community housing (CH) overlay districts to increase the affordable housing supply. The overlay district allows for densities higher than permitted by the base zoning district for planned unit districts (PUD) in exchange for affordable units. The PUDs are approved as conditional uses in the CH overlay districts. According to the code, 50 percent of rental units in a CH-PUD must be affordable to households earning less than 80 percent of the area median income (AMI) and 50 percent of ownership units must be affordable to households earning no more than 100 percent of the AMI. |
