| Description |
This report examines innovative ways to meet a variety of housing needs in the state of Washington. The report provides examples of different housing types, such as cottages, small-lot detached housing, accessory housing, and small duplex housing that can increase housing choices for both buyers and renters. In addition, this report also discusses four key policy objectives for affordable housing development. According to the report, determining the right size home for the customer, the neighborhood, the future, and the homebuilder is crucial to meeting the affordability challenge in any location. This requires innovation at the local level in choosing density and lot size, unit size, and parking requirements. |
